We built this because nothing like it existed when people needed it most.

What this site is

SextortionRescue.org is a free, independent crisis resource for people experiencing sextortion. We are not a law firm, law enforcement agency, therapy provider, or paid service. We do not collect personal information. We do not run ads. We do not sell anything.

This site exists to help people in crisis find the right resources, understand their options, and take action as quickly as possible.

Why it exists

Sextortion is one of the fastest-growing crimes targeting young people. NCMEC's CyberTipline received over 500,000 sextortion-related reports in 2024 alone. One in five teens has experienced it. And yet when victims search for help, they mostly find:

• Government pages with generic advice and no actionable steps
• Paid "recovery services" that are often scams themselves
• News articles that describe the problem without solving it
• Nothing designed for the person in crisis at 2am who needs to know what to do right now

We built SextortionRescue.org to fill that gap: a crisis-first, action-oriented resource that puts the tools and words in your hands immediately.

What we believe

• No one deserves to be extorted, regardless of what they shared or how they shared it
• The only person responsible for sextortion is the person doing the extorting
• Help should be free, accessible, and free of judgment
• Victims deserve empowerment, not pity
• Silence protects the criminal, not the victim
